Usage
Glossy Calendered Vinyl should be handled with care to prevent surface contamination that may spoil the print. This vinyl material should be processed in an environment of 18°C-30° C and 30-70% relative humidity (non-condensing) that is clean and relatively dust-free. When printing on the SC-500, SJ-500/600 or SJ-540/740, use the highest head position to produce the best quality results. Also, some media are affixed strongly to the core and care should be taken to avoid machine issues due to the non-release of media at the end of the roll. Store this product in its original packaging in a cool dry area until ready for processing. If storage conditions are outside the recommended operating ranges, allow the vinyl material to acclimate in the specified range for at least 24-48 hours before use.
Applications
Full-color graphics for indoor and outdoor applications such as stickers and decals, point-of-purchase displays, and general-purpose signage. It is water-resistant and suited for outdoor applications, but should be laminated for extra protection against abrasion, dirt and solvents. This vinyl is suitable for application to most regular surfaces, and the semi-permanent adhesive is designed for compatibility with a wide variety of surfaces, although testing a surface before application is highly recommended. This vinyl should be laminated with high quality pressure-sensitive overlaminate films, particularly those designed for outdoor durability (a cast film). Additionally, liquid laminates can be used, although testing a particular brand before application to the finished graphic is strongly recommended, as is care in handling the graphics after printing.
